I have tried to book a table at Bob Bob Ricard many-a-time since first hearing about the infamous ‘Press for Champagne’ button positioned at every table. Yes, EVERY table.
A little while ago Michael was a real cutie and surprised me with dinner at L’Autre Pied, a one Michelin star restaurant close to Bond Street. Granted, he’d got a good deal through Groupon, but if you can demonstrate “it’s the thought that counts” AND get a good bargain at the same time, you’re just winning in my eyes.
Last weekend Michael and I enjoyed an impromptu date night at my all-time, hands-down, a-million-times-over, favourite restaurant in London, Roka Restaurant on Charlotte Street. But this time, it was different.
I was a little slow on the ‘advance booking’ of Mother’s Day celebrations this year, so despite trying to find a suitably fitting option to celebrate my favourite lady two weeks before the big day, I was coming up empty.
Northbank is a restaurant that I have frequented in the past and, although excellent, it was on the more expensive side of things. Hence, when I came across an Opentable offer for 50% off food, I jumped at the chance of a more purse-friendly revisit!
