How To Spend A Day In St Kilda

I touched upon my love for St Kilda in my guide to Melbourne but it’s honestly just the cutest little seaside town and perfect escape from the hustle & bustle of Melbourne’s CBD. Smaller than England’s Brighton but similar in vibe, it’s just the place...

How to Spend a Day in Hong Kong P.2: Lantau Island

Lantau Island is the largest island in Hong Kong, almost twice the size of Hong Kong Island, which is pretty mental considering how crowded HK Island is and how uninhabited Lantau is in comparison. Lantau is often referred to as "the lungs of Hong Kong"...

Lisbon: Sintra, A Real Life Lego Kingdom and Over-Indulgence at Olivier Avenida

Abi & I couldn’t have asked for a more magical final day. The sun was shining, we visited a Lego Kingdom and ate like Queens. Sintra is a hilltop village about a 30 minute drive out of Lisbon, and well worth the day trip, even if...

Lisbon: Yakuza {Where the Japanese Met Their Match}

Proudly wearing our hard-earned tourist medals post-full day of sightseeing, Abi & I headed to dinner at Yakuza. A fancy Japanese restaurant a little way out of town, we weren’t sure what to expect. However, the sterling Tripadvisor reviews helped put us at ease. And rightly so, because everything about our meal was...

Lisbon: The Alfama Quarter, Historical Sights and Epic Time Out Food Market

Abi & I decided to make the most of the morning’s gloomy weather by cruising around some of Lisbon’s renowned historical sights, in the hope that our cultural efforts would be rewarded with sunshine in the afternoon. We headed to Belem just outside of the city centre where numerous of Lisbon’s most popular attractions...

Travel Link-Up: Home Is Where the Heart Is

So the theme for this month’s travel link-up is home – Have you ever visited a country or place and been so drawn to it that you’ve wanted to move there? Or if you’re an expat, when did the country you live in begin to feel like home? What makes home, home? Is it the people, sights, food?

SO, the moment you’ve all been waiting for has arrived. Time to unveil the most amazing, authentic Portuguese tapas restaurant in all of Lisbon! Taberna da Rua das Flores.

Lisbon: Castles, Cathedrals, Corpus Christi… Views & Wine

Despite the sad weather forecast Abi & I awoke to the most GLORIOUS sunshine and obviously headed straight to our hotel pool to catch some rays whilst our good fortune lasted.

Lisbon: Sunny Squares and Tasty Cows

Abi & I took advantage of the late May bank holiday weekend and squeezed in a fly-by trip to Lisbon to drink, eat and sight-see ourselves silly. Sunning ourselves brown had been high on the agenda too, but unfortunately the weather man had different ideas in mind and so a light ‘blush’ is all we had to show for our time in the southern European city.

Copenhagen: KöD, Where Danes Proved They Can do Cow as Well as Pig

For my final night in the motherland and in the company of three growing men, I could think of no better place for dinner than KöD (which translates as “meat”).

Copenhagen: An Immense Farmer’s Market & My Favourite Lunch Spot

We woke up to glorious sunshine, and decided to nurse our aching heads with a trip to Torvehallerne, which describes itself “not as a supermarket, but as a super market”, which is entirely accurate.
